This Trip In Brief

We have arrived in Seattle and have driven down to Boise to pick up our Rig, on the way we are looking at Mt Rainier and Pendleton. We reached our friends Chuck and Carla and collected our rig, which was still in good condition. From Nampa we towed up to Baker City, as a base camp for touring in the Wallowa Mountains. Here we met up with our English friends, Roy and Anne, as we had planned to spend some time travelling together. We spent almost a week in the wild and at Wallowa SP. On Monday we moved to Lewiston, ID, from there we followed the Clearwater Valley into the Lochsa Valley and over the Lolo Pass to Lolo Hot Springs. This took us into Montana where we followed the Bitterroot Mountains south for 80 miles before turning East again to Dillon. After two nights at Dillon we have moved North East to Bozeman, via Virginia City. In Bozeman we said a final goodbye to Roy and Anne and headed East past Billings to the Battle of the Little Big Horn National Monument then moved back West to Cody. After driving the Chief Joseph and Bear Tooth Highways we have started South to Utah, passing through Thermopolis and Wind River Canyon, stopping at Riverton and Rock Springs WY. In Utah our first stop was Flaming Gorge and then we moved South to Red Fleet Lake State Park, where we visited the the amazing Dinosaur National Monument.  After stopping over at Starvation Lake SP on the way, we stayed in Salt Lake City for a few daysWhere we visited the Capitol, Temple Sq, East High and Antelope Island.
From Salt Lake City we drove South East to Moab, stopping over at Wellington, near Price Utah to see Nine Mile Canyon with its petroglyphs.
At Moab, among other things, we visited Arches NP and Canyonlands. From there we continued South to Goosenecks SP before turning West and driving through Monument Valley to Page, AZ, where we are now.
